It's interesting that Av...Oh what a sweet book! It's interesting that Ava has started to bring more English home, and I wonder how that will trickle down to Heidi when Ava's not there? Also just because I'm hugely curious about language acquisition and the development of literacy in children, does Norwegian place its emphasis on the first syllable, like English and German? I read recently that even before babies understand words they search out the right sounds, so Mummy Daddy Baby sound right to my little English children but Maman Papa bonjour doesn't because the emphasis is flipped. It made me think of you and wonder whether a contributing factor to all your hard work and consistency is that the three languages mesh well?
