World Book Day - small but sweet!

Year by year, our World Book Day posse has been shrinking! As another little lady joined the crew this year, it was bittersweet. Last year, our biggest girl bowed out, and this year Heidi joined her... next year Jonas will be off at Secondary and his School don't dress up... so it'll just be the little two! I'm savouring all the years of dress ups I can... and at least have the prospect of Annika dressing up for a good few ahead!

But for now I'll relish in my youngest three still enjoying getting into role!

Jonas this year went as Tick from "Small Wonder" - one of the Spark Books that he's been reading this week! The book has only one picture of the character on the cover, so we didn't have a lot to work with, but he absolutely nailed it! Even turned our pet goat into a horse for the day!

Elias went as the classic "Dennis the Menace", and teamed up with his bestie who went as Gnasher! The double act got up to mischief plastering the school in "Wanted" posters with a picture of the two of them on it! Sorry teachers!

And then our little lady - well yes, the old faithful dragon costume got whipped out again and she dressed up as "Ulli" from one of her favourite books "Der Lolli" (called "The Last Noo-Noo" in English!)

This dragon costume has served us many children now - so it's fun to have it back in action.

And then, my sisters girls arrived for breakfast (a Monday and Friday tradition!) and joined the crew! Sophie from the BFG and Alfie from ESIOTROT got in on the photo action!

A happy little crowd who headed off to school for the day... and a little dragon who came home with me!

Who did your kids dress up as this year??
