New Years Celebrations: Savouring the Season Linky Party 15

Happy New Year to you all!

We have had a lovely few days welcoming in the New Year with family from Northern Ireland! On New Years Eve, we headed up to London to go to one of my favourite museums - the Museum of London is a hidden gem - wonderfully presented, totally hands on and fabulous for little people...

In the evening everyone headed back to ours for Tacos and games...

And then we welcomed in the New Year with mulled wine and Gary Barlow on the TV (who didn't?!)

After everyone had hit the sack; Dave and I reflected on this past year, praying thankfulness for the mercies God has shown us in the face of the toughest year of our lives. Our goodbye to 2013 was bittersweet, and we enter 2014 not knowing what the future holds, but knowing that whatever comes, he is faithful. I slept well. A new year. A fresh start. A clean page. Hope for this little girl...

and of course thankfulness for this one...

New Years Day poured with rain and so our plans for a lovely village walk were called off... But we enjoyed a yummy meal at this gorgeous country pub!

It was the perfect way to welcome in the New Year...

So! Its time to share your New Years posts; celebrations and activities, reflections and resolutions! Link up your post and take five minutes to go and visit a couple of others... And please leave comments where you go; there is nothing so encouraging to a blogger as knowing someone has taken time o stop by their little piece of Internet!

Here's to 2014; THANKYOU for your support and participation in Savouring the Season last year... I look forward to savouring every little bit of 2014 with you all too!

Claire x

  1. Seemed like a perfect way to end one year and start another :) I was particularly admiring these photos Claire, wondering if you had received a new camera for Christmas! They're great. x

    1. Lol. I'm afraid I can only claim credit for the photo of Dave and Ava... my brother claims credit for the rest (except Wotton Hatch - that is their official photo!) HE got a new camera for Christmas, and I intend to learn how to use mine properly this year! Hope you had a lovely New Year too!
