Autumnal exploring: Savouring the Season: Linky Party 8...

This past Saturday morning, when I got back from tutoring, I opened the front door to find two little girls wrapped up in their hats, scarves and coats and their Papa armed with a picnic bag.

"Back in the car!"

We headed to one of my favourite outdoor places; Richmond Park. London's largest royal park is the biggest enclosed place in the city. And its beautiful. You step out of suburban London, and into the countryside. Bliss.

We met up with my Mum and my lovely sister (who took all the photos) and had a whale of a time exploring autumn's landscape.

I'm so glad we went when we did. The rain started on Sunday and has been hanging around since. I'm one for getting the girls out every day, but this spitting, half-hearted attempt at rain is a little on the frustrating side. Not heavy enough to make you want to snuggle up cosy in the house, but not light enough to go out and ignore it. Still, it makes for good puddle splashing!

What autumn-loving activities have you been up to this week?

Do share!
