"The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another world quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?"
- J.B.Priestly -
Snow. It's almost laughable calling it that to be honest... a light dusting that settled while our little people slept on Saturday night. A sugar-coating; certainly no blanket. But to our children, it really didn't matter what it was.
It was snow.
And that was all that mattered.
And so for an hour or so before church on Sunday morning, while their baby brother slept, the garden was filled with giggles and shouts, snowballs and screams, experiments and gleeful observations. The snow was thrown, moulded, handled and sculpted. One little girl couldn't get enough of it, the other a little more wary...
But thrilled, nonetheless, at the beautifully white winter wonderland that landed in their garden overnight.
Lovely and healthy sisters! x

DeleteHow lovely that your girls were able to make the most of the snow, just goes to show you don't need an over abundance of anything to enjoy it.
