Beach Days // Me and Mine in May

We're a bit late to the #meandmine party this month. The end of May snuck up on me in a flurry of half term bliss! After 3 months of life being very abnormal for us (I was first admitted to hospital in mid-February), this month has been all about being together, re-finding our rhythm and getting back on our own two feet.

And where better to celebrate a return to feeling fit and heathy than a trip to Brighton to visit lovely friends?

We literally couldn't have asked for better weather... It was everything every little kid's seaside dreams are made of... glorious blue skies, dipping toes in icy cold water and finishing off the trip with one almighty ice-cream. The children played merrily together with their little friends, us adults got much needed catch-ups, and Elias slept through the entire experience (so much so that I barely got any pictures with him in... Oops!)

It was just a blissful summers day with my nearest and dearest, and watching the children utterly relishing in their seaside experience was a joy to behold.

These past few months have not been easy, but I am so thankful for the perspective they have given me... To delight in the little things.

The ordinary moments.

And give thanks to the Father for every common grace.

Being Mama to this little tribe is the greatest honour and challenge of my life.

I'm so thankful to God for every second of it.

Me and mine in May...
