The Bubbas turn one!

This past weekend, we had our NCT babies birthday party! They have, over the past month, all reached their first birthday milestone, and after all we've been through together this past year (countless sleepless nights, sharing nappy stories, all being clueless together) we felt it was only right that these little ones got to share it all together. They have become such good friends and it was lovely to watch them all as they played alongside each other, comfortable and familiar with each others little faces and sharing and stealing toys with glee. I can't wait to see their little friendships develop...

We had a lovely day together... us girls catching up on the minor details of life since the week before, the Dads catching up on the past year and all the major changes it's brought! These girls have been such a rock for me this past year, and it has been so precious to face all these huge life changes together. Its funny to think how we all sat awkwardly smiling at each other in those first NCT classes, and what good friends we have become. We have shared life together, laughed together, cried together and I'm so excited to watch our friendship develop as these babies grow up together!

It's so hard to believe that just over a year ago, we were all sitting around, bemoaning the fact that we were so huge and it was so hot and stuffing ourselves with haloumi in the local pub! Then one by one our group got smaller as someone wouldn't show up one week and we'd know; baby was on its way! Then Holly and I were the last sitting there, wondering how long it would be before our babies finally arrived!

And then it happened... for all of us... and we knew life would never be the same again!

These gorgeous little bundles of joy...

... have turned into these jolly little personalities...

... and what a lovely little bunch they are!

Thanks NCT buddies for being such good friends, for being real and honest and not pretending everything is perfect and wonderful when its not, and for being there in the good times and the bad. I'm grateful to God for each of you! Here's to many more years of friendship!
