Potato Print Valentines

It's Valentines Day!

And thanks to the inspiration of Rachel over at Dreaming of the Country, Ava and I threw together some cards the other day!

For us, Valentines Day is an opportunity to celebrate all the people we love.

And so Ava made little friendship cards for her little friends, a card for her Papa and cards for her Grandparents using that age-old, never-tiring technique that we all know and love as "potato printing"

Hearts and stars and kisses...

Even little Heidi got involved!

Although my big girl could do it all by herself...

Lots of pretty cards for special people...

To tell them how much they mean to us...

I hadn't done potato printing since I was small, but it was SO easy, great fun, and the girls loved it.

I think it may be a new rainy day hobby!!

So if you're at a loose end on a rainy afternoon with your littles, why not just whip out a potato and carve yourself a fun-filled afternoon!

Happy weekend everyone!

  3. Looks like fun. Be careful though, raw potato is very poisonous - no little fingers near mouths x
