Advent Day 1: Ten Minutes of Your Morning...

Advent is all about sitting and soaking, savouring and remembering, waiting and expecting, and yet so often, it is the busiest time of year. As we run around last-minute Christmas shopping, sending out cards galore, stocking up the fridge and freezer and preparing our homes for guests, its easy to forget to take the time to remember what its ACTUALLY all about.

Right?

Which is why these past couple of years, I've been so thankful for Desiring God Ministries, who every Advent, share a free eBook... a little Advent reading for ten minutes every morning before the children stir to do what is impossible once they are up.

To sit and soak and see and savour. To wait and expect. To take ten minutes out of a busy day to remember the reason for the season.

So here you have it... I'm sharing a free eBook for your little Advent treat today - courtesy of Desiring God Ministries. A little Advent reading for every day of the run up to Christmas to pour over with a cup of tea to wake you up.

And if you aren't sure what this Jesus malarkey is all about at Christmas, why not make some space this Christmas to have a little look into it?

You might just be surprised by what you find.

That is my prayer for you this Christmas—that you would
experience the fullness of Christ; that you would know in your
heart the outpouring of grace upon grace; that the glory of the
only Son from the Father would shine into your heart to give
the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of
Christ; that you would be amazed that Christ can be so real
to you.

  1. Thank you for sharing this Clarina - I definitely find myself rushing around and forgetting the 'reason for the season'. Will be taking time out to focus with the Advent readings from the book. Wishing you and your family blessings for the festive season x
